The Solution

FBC Trussville’s needed a multi phased approach to updating their main 2000+ seat worship center.  The client wanted to make the auditoriums main platform more flexible by adding a removable center stage that could then be opened to reveal a stair case for special events.

The client also had concerns about their video camera system not being bright enough and they wanted to replace their aging mostly non-functional lighting systems. They also wanted to make sure that these updates would be expandable for several years and would provide the broadcast quality lighting they needed for their online streaming.

The Project

Phase 1: With the consult of Redwire, the client designed and built the new staging. Redwire then provided and installed subwoofers, floor pockets and LED foot lighting equipment in the new movable sections of stage.

Phase 2: The current standard definition video camera systems needed to be updated to digital HD formats. This included the replacement of all switching and streaming control systems. During the proposal phase of the project it was also that the existing LCD confidence screen should be replaced with a 6.5ft LED video screen. The goal for this client was to provide quality components and equipment with a design that would fit within a realistic budget.

Phase 3: FBC Trussville requested an, easy to use lighting solution to replace most of their aging lighting fixtures with LED luminaries and refurbish and redeploy approximately 40 of their existing conventional dimmed lighting fixtures. The new lighting system needed to accomplish even coverage, special event lighting, flexibility for a traditional worship service and a whole new look for their more contemporary service. To take full advantage of their new HD camera systems, the new design would also have to provide consistent lighting coverage on the stage and broadcast quality lighting for their live video stream.
