Primary Role:
Accountable for being articulate in the systems provided and supported by Redwire Audio Visual Responsible for providing pre and post sales support to sales and technical staff on AVL (audio, video, & lighting) systems. Responsible for the installation of AVL equipment, including but not limited to, cables, fiber optics and electronic devices. The AV Tech is responsible for installing the products in the most efficient and effective manner. All installations must meet the highest quality standards set forth by Redwire Audio Visual, while assuring a professional and safe working environment. Must have ability to effectively communicate internally and externally as a representative of Redwire Audio Visual. The ability to travel frequently is required.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for the basic wiring and installation of hardware which can require the use and the knowledge of operating power tools
Responsible for the operation of cable testing equipment
Meet all installation deadlines
Prep equipment and tools for projects in an efficient and timely manner
Provide technical support for customer related service issues
Assist sales staff with joint sales calls to customer site -- this may require the AV Tech to perform technical presentations and provide support
Assist sales and solutions design staff by providing support with system design
Develop and maintain knowledge of current and new technologies
Provide a safe, clean, and organized worksite
Other duties as required or assigned by company management
Accountability:
The AV Technician – Level 2 will be accountable to the AV Tech Manager.
Qualifications:
The AV Tech (Level 2) should have work experience in the AV integration field and/or experience working with live production equipment. A related associate degree from an accredited college or university is preferred but not required.
Travel:
This position requires regular overnight travel, often for multiple nights, up to 50% of the time.

Must be able to read and effectively interpret general documentation.
Valid and current driver's license.
Physical, Mental and Environmental Requirements:
Employee is required to stand, walk, climb, sit and use hands and fingers.
Some light lifting of objects is required.
Reaching, grasping and carrying activities are also required.
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
Although most work is performed inside, occasional outside activities are subject to seasonal temperature fluctuations.
